Our confrere and Vocation Director, Mike Herlihey, OFM Cap., reported on one of our two big Provincial ministerial events for December:

The Opening Mass of Annie’s Home went really well [on Sunday, December 8th]. Our whole Frankford fraternity was there along with our Brothers Tom Betz and Keon Tu who took time out of their busy Sundays to stop by and show support and join the 90 benefactors there. We had Mass, followed by a brunch (with some baked goods sent by our brother-master-chef Andrew Corriente), followed by Br. Alex Hostoffer's presentation on how God brought Annie’s Home's about. We ended the day with tours of the home. What stood out to me was how a high percentage of the people there were already involved in donating or in volunteering hours or in doing both. People were reflecting on how unique this Advent season is for them as they prepare for the Christ Child while also preparing for the mothers and children to find their home at Annie’s Home. St. Joseph went off to prepare a place for Mary to give birth to Jesus. These supporters have prepared a place here as well.

In a communique to supporters, Director Erin Noonan (pictured third from left) reported that . . .

. . . the "Open House was a HUGE success, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of so many generous volunteers and donors! The day began with a beautiful Mass celebrated by Mike Herlihey at St. Joachim Church, followed by a delightful brunch and tours of our home. We were thrilled to welcome over 100 attendees and share how Annie’s Home has come to life thanks to your generous support. To all who joined us, thank you for making the day so special. We hope you had a wonderful time! For those who couldn’t make it, we’d still love to show you around. Please reach out to us to schedule a tour.  You'll see our before and after pictures of the home below . . .

AnnieHome08"We’re thrilled to share another exciting update about Annie’s Home! For those who have been following our journey, you may know that our final major step before welcoming families is the installation of a fire alarm system. I’m overjoyed to announce that the city has approved our fire alarm permit, and the installation is officially underway! This marks a huge milestone for us as we move closer to opening our doors and providing a safe, loving home for moms and their children. We cannot wait to welcome our first families soon! As we finish this last big project, we humbly ask you to keep Annie’s Home in your prayers. Your support and prayers mean the world to us and to the families who will soon call Annie’s Home their own."
