Our brother Paul Dressler, OFM Cap., addressed the DC Young Adult Ministry's Theology on Tap Series: "A Church that is Poor & for the Poor". His talk was on "Simplicity and Spiritual Freedom". During the presentation, he shared about those poor whom he met and the ways in which the encounters have impacted his life
Through four stories, Paul spoke to the audience about what he learned of the Christian life in and through their stories:
1) Say "yes"
2) Say "thank you"
3) Surrender to God
4) Accept God's love.

Theology on Tap is a speaker series that takes place in the fun, relaxed setting of your favorite local pub. "ToT" focuses on topics of faith and contemporary issues that directly affect the lives of young adults (ages 21-39) and originated in the Archdiocese of Chicago, spreading throughout the country as a vital and popular component of young adult ministry. The goal is to provide a forum for young adults to learn about and discuss their faith in a relaxing social setting.
In this casual atmosphere, the participants hear straight talk and honest answers to your deepest questions about faith, love, work and other real life experiences. Theology on Tap provides an opportunity to not only learn about the Catholic faith but also meet like-minded people and make new friends. Theology on Tap is open to all young adults, regardless of religious affiliation. The DC Theology on Tap begins with a happy hour from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. to provide a chance to mix and mingle with other young adults from across the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The presentationstarts at 7:00 p.m. and is followed by a Q&A session with the featured speaker.
